Appeal after cash left in RSPC

A GENEROUS animal lover may well have left more than they bargained for when they visited a charity shop.

Fake Hermes Handbags

Police are trying to trace a well-wisher who left behind a large amount of cash when they donated goods to an RSPCA shop on Monday.

Between noon and 3pm, a member of the public went into the charity's shop in High Street South, Langley Moor, and left a bag of DVDs as a donation.

As staff sorted through the items later in the day, they found a container which had what is described as "a large amount of cash" inside.

PC Victoria Clark said: "Owing to the number of people who enter the premises on a typical day, staff do not know who left the bag that the money was found in. They believe the person who left the bag and the money probably lives in the local area."

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Clark on 0345-60- 60-365.

All for three-bin system

JUST about every day I've come across a letter to the editor from someone moaning about the three- bin system. Personally, I'm all wholesale sexy lingerie for it.

Yes, I do have a compost bin but that gets full when I mow my lawns, and I'm sure I'm not the only person in this windy city who is sick to death of everyone else's recycling getting blown up their driveway, and having to try to squeeze it into the already overflowing joke of a recycling bin with no lid we are getting provided with at the moment.

I can't understand why the council won't accept recycling in plastic bags because when the new system comes out it's replica tag heruer watches all going in the same bin.

I was reading not so long ago why there isn't as much newspaper or cardboard being recycled in plastic bags. My theory is why would anyone want to pay 5c or 10c for a bag at supermarkets and The Warehouse.

The sooner we get the bins the better.

All I want for Christmas is Bi

WHEN they arrive at the new Hamleys in Glasgow, it doesn't take long for Mark Watson, seven, and Sophie Crichton, eight, to find the toys they'd like for Christmas - but for children growing up in the age of the Wii and the Xbox, their choices are perhaps a little surprising.

Sophie walks straight past the huge wall of barbies and Nintendos and finds her top choice: the Junior Puzzleball jigsaw. And for Mark, the shelves stacked with computers can't compete with the innocent charm of Scalextric.

It takes Mark a while to get the knack of spinning the cars round the track without them crashing off, but, like Sophie's jigsaw, the toy's old-fashioned simplicity still has some power.

"I would love this for Christmas, " said Mark. "I don't have anything like this at home. I would prefer this to computer games."

Some might call it gender stereotyping, but the store is very clearly divided into the fluffy girl section and the metallic boy section. Among all the cars and trains, Mark's favourite is the Lunar radio-controlled car and the Fighting Dragonfly helicopter.

Hamleys expect the links of london charms top seller for boys this Christmas to be Transformers and for girls the Go Go pet, which is a little hamster in a ball. Sophie loves the Go Go and is also tempted by the huge white teddies draped in pink.

However, as well as the jigsaw, the toy she would really love this year is Biscuit My Loving Pup, a massive radio-controlled dog that is disturbingly life like (and expensive at GBP150) .

"This would be top of my Santa list, " says Sophie, pointing at the dog. "I don't have a pet and this would be a bit like having one."

ALL HAIL THE NEW KING OF ASBO

JAMIE T Kings & Queens (Virgin) TWO-and-a-half years since Panic Prevention announced him as one of pop's most promising prospects, Jamie T's follow-up has been a while in the waiting.

Any fears that Mr Treays has been suffering from "second album syndrome", however, are cast aside on the first listen to Kings & Queens -- a witty, winning return that positions him alongside Mike Skinner among the aristocracy of a sub-genre we might term Asbo pop.

wholesale sexy lingerie

Recorded between his garden shed in Wimbledon and a fancy studio in the East End, the album retains much of the DIY charm of his 2007 Mercury-nominated debut, with a little added sprucing.

So while the themes are familiar -- pubs, parks and piss-ups still figure heavily in the 23-year-old's world -- the music is bigger and bolder. It's funny, too. Take Sticks 'n' Stones, a punkish reminiscence on the singer's days as a "10-a-day, how d'you say, little shit", with guitars as spiky as its lyrics.

The jewel in the crown, though, is The Man's Machine. Marrying hip-hop beats with shimmering synths, it builds to the fistpumping refrain: "Stones, glass, concrete and gravel, all we've got to keep us together." At moments like this, Treays sounds like that most loathed of things among songwriters: a spokesperson of a generation.

Perhaps it's all that listening to Bob Dylan, whom he claims to have "discovered" while writing this album. There's certainly evidence Thomas sabo charms of a more folksy influence on Emily's Heart and Spider's Web, where he accompanies himself on acoustic guitar. Whatever his inspiration, it's worked: witty, gritty and well worth the wait, Kings & Queens is a crowning success.

Tigers storm way to victory

A run of four successive league defeats and two blank Saturdays brought extra significance to their historic meeting with Chester.
In the end it was Tigers who wore the smiles as they carved out a comfortable 27-3 victory and left their rivals to rue their first ever trip to Dore Moor.
The only thing missing for Dave Scully's men was a bonus point which would have been useful in a table where just four points separate seventh placed Tigers from the four teams above them.

Thomas sabo charms

One major plus factor was the age factor as this was probably the youngest first team ever fielded by them in a league fixture. Without the very experienced front row of Harry Toews, Hugo Horn and Simon Bunting Tigers fielded two front-row players in Charlie Cone and Sam Whitworth, both under 20 and Adam Russell, 24.
Replacement prop Frank Lidster, back-row forward Brandon Hannan and full-back Will Durandt are also under 20 while four players made their debuts a Whitworth, Lidster, Hannan and winger Simon Pratt.
It took a minute for Tigers to achieve what they had failed to do in their previous 160 minutes of rugby, namely to get any points on the board, when Tom Outram kicked a penalty.
The lead lasted all of two minutes as Chester levelled and the home side missed two further penalty attempts before Outram restored their advantage in the 25 minute. replica hublot watches Two tries in two minutes then effectively sealed the match for Tigers, the first from winger Gareth Morley followed by Bevan Wilkinson's drive over. Outram converted them both.
Chester were briefly down to 13 players at the start of the second half and when the next maul was pulled down the referee awarded a penalty try and Outram added the extras. Fifty minutes gone and game over.
More doom and gloom for the visitors came after the final whistle replica breitling watches when their No 10 was red carded for an inappropriate comment.
Team: Cone, Whitworth, Russell (Lidster), Wilkinson, Joel, Hannan, Sandhu, Pearson N, Scully(C), Outram, Pratt, Buchanan, Rothwell, Morley, Durandt Replacements not used: Drage, Parsons.
Tigers look to build on the result when they visit third from bottom Cleckheaton on Saturday. The Dore Moor side won the home encounter 34 - 22 earlier in the season but their rivals have improved of late with two narrow home defeats, followed by a win and a draw away.
