Beloved Patch is missed

THE last memory Phil Munro has of his family's beloved pup Patch is seeing two men stealing him from his own yard.

The Yeppoon man said he went outside to feed Clip on charms his two dogs on Australia Day at about 5pm when he noticed Patch was acting strange.

"The little fella didn't come over so I went to have a look beside the shed," he said.

"I saw two blokes lift him over the fence on a lead so I jumped the fence and chased them."

Phil said the two men ran to the highway so he went to get his car, but by the time he got back they were gone.

"I'm annoyed that these people think they can just step onto your property and steal things," he said.

"They must be very weak in personality."

Belle Vue trauma will only mak

THE phrase baptism of fire could have been invented for Rhyl player-manager Greg Strong. In his first season in management, the former Premier League defender has had to overcome hurdles which would have caused lesser men to throw in the towel months ago.

But despite such a difficult first season in charge at Belle Vue, the Lilywhites boss is only looking to the future with optimism.

"I'm a great believer in the phrase what doesn't kill you makes you stronger," said the 34-year-old former Bolton, Wigan and Motherwell centre-back.

"Yes, the past few months have been difficult, it's all been new to me, but if we can all work through this together and remain positive we can all be better and wiser for it over the other side."

When Strong arrived at Belle Vue as a player at the start of the 2008/09 season Rhyl replica tag heruer watches became the 17th club of his career.

His debut campaign could hardly have gone better. With then president Peter Parry ploughing considerable resources into the club that summer, the Lilywhites assembled a star-studded squad which went on to lift the Welsh Premier League title.

Strong himself was an outstanding success alongside George Horan in central defence and the Bolton-born stopper's leadership qualities on the field did not go unnoticed. Star George The somewhat bizarre departure last July of championship-winning coach Allan Bickerstaff led to Strong unexpectedly being appointed player- manager. But the new man at the helm was not about to enjoy the luxuries of his predecessor, with Strong told he would have to operate on a considerably reduced budget - he ended up losing 13 members of the previous season's squad.

He faced a race against time to even get a team on the field for the opening fixture of the 2009/10 campaign against Carmarthen Town, but Strong refused to panic, bringing on board quality ex-pros such as Tyrone Kirk and Chris Williams to play alongside remaining stars Mark Connolly, Horan and Matthew Williams.

And the season could not have started better, Rhyl going 13 matches unbeaten and by early October they held a five-point lead at the Welsh Premier summit.

But off the field there were problems. Difficulties in securing an advance on Champions League prize money led to talk of a cash- crisis and much unsettling speculation, then in December came the bombshell that main backer Parry was leaving the club.

Coupled with this, results suffered. After thrashing Bala 4-0 on October 9, Rhyl went on to win just two of their next 11 league games.

The turn of the year has brought major upheaval with Lee Hunt, Horan and Greg Stones leaving Belle Vue due to the club's financial difficulties, along with winger Luke Holden.

But Strong has refused to buckle, bringing in promising new young talent in a bid links of london to turn the club's fortunes as well as managing to keep midfield general John Leah, top scorer Connolly and striker Matthew Williams on the books despite interest from elsewhere.

And the past fortnight has brought three successive victories, over Gap Connah's Quay and Airbus in the league, and against Pontardawe Town to reach the Welsh Cup quarter-finals.

Clip on charms

"There have been so many negative things said and written about the club lately - it's time now to look forward," Strong said.

Exploiting The Internet As Money Machine

By:Lil Waldner

The internet is the greatest money machine in these days Google, Yahoo, Amazon or Ebay have achieved a higher market capitalization than many traditional brick and mortar companies Google has grown within a few year to a value of more than $77 billions

How is most of the money made?

The big search engines make most of the money with advertisement revenues Google Adwords and Overture are the leading cash machines Other search engines and directories also rely on advertisement revenues The higher their Google Page Rank, the more often they demand fees for directory listings DMOZ is the only directory with a top Page Rank, where a listing of a website is free of charge Fake Watch. It is, however, almost impossible to get listet at the Open Directory Project

Other big players benefit from the internet as market place It's a viable business to provide good and reliable payment services for the millions of internet merchants Clickbank, Paypal, Stormpay and others are great in this business and make their money with getting fees from their services

A lot of followers also benefit

This great market place has attracted a lot of other participants They benefit, because the internet community still grows They offer books, music, travel booking, retail shopping and much much more Already established brands have a great advantage if they join the internet market place Many users type in automatically the names of big brands, if they are looking for something

How can a small or home business benefit?

The above mentioned companies have been lucky because they have started as pioneers from scratch in an early stage of the internet or they have been backed by an already prominent brick and mortar firm

It seems that the best places are already occupied Newcomers have to find niches and new opportunities A lot of website owners try to promote goods as affiliates They do not need to invest much money The best way is to sell a good that just can be downloaded No warehouse and shipping are needed New opportunities to make an extra income evolve, e ghd iv styler.g getting paid for taking surveys or reading ads There are no limits for innovations

What has to be considered?

鈥?Ask yourself, what you can do best, how you can use your own skills in the internet business
鈥?Research a marketing niche that looks promising
鈥?Write a small business plan
鈥?Limit your own investments Christian Louboutin boots.
鈥?Research, what you can get for free or for low costs for your business

The conclusion of all is: Do the right things right! Try it at least!

COACH Rob Lewis has warned rising star Sam Atkin not to get caught up in a "dogfight" for top spot at the National Cross Country Championships.

Atkin, from Healing, lines-up in the Under-17 men's event today at Roundhay Park, Leeds.

He heads into the race having won the Northern Counties Cross Country Championship last month.

It Clip on charms was a superb win for the 16-year-old, who is on the road back to full fitness following a foot injury last year.

In Leeds, the Lincoln Wellington athlete will face the best the country has to offer over the six-kilometre course.

The key contender for the gold medal is Richard Goodman, of Shaftesbury Barnet, and is one that Lewis has already warned Atkin about.

"Richard Goodman is running very well and I've told Sam not to get caught up in a dogfight with him," he explained.

"Sam's doing well at the moment and heads into the event in good shape. I'm optimistic that he can do well.

"We've had a chat already about who the main competition will be, but it will be crucial that he runs his own race and does not get caught up in it all.

"When he Prada Replica Handbags won the Northern Counties he was a clear winner and made his move to the front with about a mile to go.

"The lad in second place was chasing him down and was able to take a lot of time off him over the last bit of the course - but people know you will push yourself if you are chasing. It is much harder to run from the front."

Goodman is likely to be the one everyone will be chasing this weekend.

The 16-year-old won the Southern Cross Country Championship at Parliament Hill in London at the end of last month and also won the McCain UK Cross Challenge in Cardiff.

He recently came back from the LXVII Cross Internacional Juan Muguerza in northern Spain where he won the silver medal, having been out-sprinted to the line by UK team-mate Jonathan Hay.

The other main challengers may come from Steve Benson's group at Ipswich Harriers.

From that team, Kieran Clements managed a fourth place finish at Parliament Hill, while Shaun Webb has also impressed.

"It is going to be a good race," said Lewis.

"There is a decent field and I think if Sam can run well he should think about being in that top 10 by a certain point and then see what he can achieve.

"Hopefully, if he does a good race and is well supported by the rest of the Wellington lads in the age group, we can push up the team rankings as well."

They never admitted their crime but it took a jury just over an hour to find them guilty.

The judge told them: "You thought you had got away with it but you have been convicted and you will pay a heavy price."

Thomas heartbroken mother said: "We all miss him, we would much prefer to have Thomas alive."

Gary Taylor shook his head and shouted, "suspicion does not prove guilt" as he was convicted of murder.
