POLICE in Coleraine have warned motorists, particularly women, to be cautious of anyone stopping their car after an elderly female driver had her handbag snatched.

When she returned to the car her handbag was missing.

They have told drivers to only pull over in well-lit areas and to lock their cars even if they are getting out for just a short time.
